Christmas Downtown Gladstone

This past Friday, we went down to the tree lighting in Gladstone. Santa arrived via a firetruck, the city tree was lit up and there were cookies and activities for the kids. Matthew wanted to see Santa so we waited in line but by the time we got to him, Alicia and Matthew were a little unsure of the man in red...then again I never wanted to see Santa was a child either. We got our picture (still need to scan it), and also stopped to see Uncle Mike since he was in town. Here's a couple of pictures:

Catching Up...Where Do I Begin?

Haven't updated this in a little while so I've got some catching up to do! Let's start with our trip to see Elmo & gang live in Green Bay, WI at the Brown County Arena on 11/15/09.

Firehouse!

Matthew is looking into the Thermal Imaging Camera with his teacher
(Oops, this pictures are out of order. Sorry, still learning this blog thing!)

My niece, Aleena, decided to go with the kids to the Halloween Carnival.

Alicia is having a hard time deciding on a treat!

Matthew got to try using the fire hose outside of the station.
Alicia had a great time too. She loved the tail lights for some reason!

As Halloween has come and gone around here, it is back to business as usual. However, here a some of the highlights of of this past weekend. Of course, Alicia hated her costume and wanted to dress just like Matthew. Typical 2 year old! On Monday, the kids got to go to Public Safety for a tour of the fire station.

Matthew was showing Alicia the ropes on proper pumpkin maintainence.

Of course, we had to take advantage of our great weather and gut some pumpkins for Halloween!

Matthew & Alicia had a great time playing in the leaf piles.

It's Fall!

After a few days of rain and cold, the weather finally broke and gave us a little sunshine. Of course, we have the most trees on the block, so we had some work to do.
